PRESS
Beyond the lure of drugs, gangs and violence in today’s
schools, there is another equally vicious cycle that 1.5 million
children across the nation cannot escape – homelessness.
The number of women and children without homes is on the rise*.
Families and children are the fastest-growing segment of the
nation’s homeless population. What’s worse is the
average age of a homeless person in the United States is about
9.
But one man is trying to change that. He’s Joe Manno.
He’s dedicated his entire life to helping children and
families in need, spending countless hours working to get his
message heard. For the past five years, he has toured the country
with his live arena comedy concerts, encouraging young children
to do well in school, stressing the importance of reading and
the dangers of drugs and violence. As the homeless population
has grown among his audience, Joe provides groceries to qualifying
families, free dental work, even cars.
In the following pages, you’ll learn more about Joe
Manno, his vision and his plan. You’ll learn how Joe
plans to spread his motivational words to the country’s
impressionable youth and how they can’t get enough of
him.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated periodically on future
community involvement and performances. In the meantime, if
you have any questions or want to explore some of the topics
further, please feel free to contact me.
