PRESSNew updates regularly. ======= Thu Dec 30, 9:00 am ETOrlando, FL (PRWEB) December 30, 2010 RTC Entertainment (http://www.rtcentertainment.com), a non-profit organization dedicated to producing empowering entertainment for children, has just announced their upcoming “A Fighting Chance” (AFC) production show to reach 10,000 children in the Central Florida area from January 10, 2011 through January 14, 2011. The event, offered free to school children ages eight through 13, focuses heavily on anti-bullying, anti-drug, and anti-violence themes and places an emphasis on choosing the right roads in life. The show is set to a comedic performance presented by Emmy Award winning comedic motivational speaker for elementary school students, Joe Manno. In conjunction with Orange County Public Schools (OCPS), the production serves as an effective way to carry a valuable message to children struggling with the everyday challenge of being a preteen. “At RTC Entertainment, we know the value of teaching through story and amusement,” says Manno. “It's my passion. It's what I love to do. If I can make a child smile and send a positive message to them simultaneously - mission accomplished.” “This program at every school in the country can show every child that you can make a difference, you will make a difference, and here is how you can do it,” said Hilda Yarvi, Resource Teacher for Orange County Public Schools.” Success of previous AFC shows have been recognized by letters of commendation from both former President Reagan and Florida Governor Jeb Bush. With the goal to reach one million kids in one thousand days starting with it’s national tour kick-off in Orlando, the free event will take place at the Hard Rock® Live venue at Orlando’s Universal CityWalk and all children who attend will receive a free copy of Manno’s best-selling book, A Fighting Chance. RTC Entertainment is confident that the lessons learned through this unique comedic style will prove to be effective long term. "It is not education, and it is not entertainment – it is a movement. We are moving kids into more productive lives,” says Anthony DeRosa, VP and Executive Producer at RTC. “Motivating and inspiring - it has a lasting effect."
